A cheap traveler, i am.
I just got back from nyc about 2 weeks ago. its basically my favorite place on earth. that being said, its also one of the most expensive places on earth HAHA! anyway, i am always looking for a cheap place to stay or free things to do while in the city.
I stumbled upon Broadway hotel and hostel while looking around on hostels.com. after reading reviews on trip advisor and making sure it wasnt far from a subway stop i decided to call to see how much a room would be tax and all, and if they had a private room with private bathroom.
I did, and they did. they call it a private double double with private bathroom. I told them i would call back.
I kept looking for about a month for a cheaper place to stay like maybe some chic little boutique hotel or something. Yeah, that wasnt gonna happen. This is the CHEAPEST place you will find *in manhattan* to stay.
it is a hostel so it isnt super nice, the comforters needed some updating, but overall it was good. no weird smell, which i expected lol also, the windows in our room opened which was nice. but the bathroom is TINNNYYYYYYYYY. overall the place serves its purpose and it is only 2 blocks from the subway.
for 2 nights our total came to 267, tax and all. thats basically unheard of. most places are 200+ per night. i would definately stay again :)
